Hello, Quickly
Here's a little something different. Fun, disturbing. All in how you look at things. The first of these I saw was the Goya, and it knocked me sideways.Won't limit you with my slant, though.
The artist is Leslie Holt, and these are from her "Hello, Masterpiece" series.
A few words from her Artist statement:
The paintings are postcard size, similar to those found in a museum gift shop. The famous paintings become pop culture icons akin to Hello Kitty, and the paintings’ appeal as take home sized objects reinforces their context as commodities in a market.
